“Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us…” Luke 1:78

Greetings to all my precious friends in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We have entered that month of the year wherein we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

What joy unfathomable it is to know that the Lord God Almighty, Creator of the whole universe deserted His glory to come down to a world torn and marred, a world filled with filth and darkness, a world filled with sickness, sin and sorrow.

During this wondrous time when God became Man, I was reminded of three things to share:

When God came, there came Light with Him!

It says in Isaiah 9:2, “The people who walked in darkness

Have seen a great light;

Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,

Upon them a light has shined.”

It says in John 1:4,5 “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” It continues in verse 9, “That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.”

When the Son of God came down as a tiny little baby, He brought Light with Him into this world filled with darkness and to a people who were lost in its shadows.

Our Lord Jesus says in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world, He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

2. When God came, Joy came with Him!

It is recorded in Luke 2:14, “Glory to God in the highest,

And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

It says in Luke 2:10, “Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.’ ’’

Also in Matthew 2:9,10 it says, “When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.”

When the Lord Jesus was on this earth, He took the presence of God’s joy around Him wherever he went; people rejoiced and felt safe to be in His presence. They rejoiced to walk and talk with this God in flesh!  

3. When God came, He brought Life!

Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

It says in John 17:3, “And this is eternal Life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

It also says in John 20:31, “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”

Romans 6:23 says, “…the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

My dearest friends, this Christmas praying that you may all experience the abundance of God’s Light, Joy and Life! Only Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God and the sacrifice He did on the Cross can reconcile us back to the Father and give us Eternal Life. (Colossians 1:19,20)

Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you and your household will be saved! (Acts 16:31)

Our Lord is waiting to bless you all with abundance of His heavenly blessings! (Ephesians 1:3)

There is no one who can love like Jesus, no one who cares like He does, no one who knows you like He does, no one who can safeguard and guide like He does. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8; Psalm 32:8)
